If you haven’t visited the new Zeskind’s retail location, Park Hardware, located on Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, you’re missing out. This valuable resource and showroom took over the previous Clement’s Hardware location and expanded their product displays and services to become more than a “hardware store.” We talked to Rick Miller, the great grandson of Zeskind’s founder, Sam Zeskind, to find out more about Park Hardware.
What’s so exciting about owning a hardware store?
[Insert laugh] The Zeskind’s legacy business was a retail hardware store that opened in 1925. Combining the Zeskind’s Door and Window Showroom with Park Hardware is both an expansion and a tribute. The showroom is an exciting resource for builders, kitchen and bath designers, and interior designers. Thousands of fine hardware samples are on display at Park Hardware, including Rocky Mountain, Ashley Norton, and Water Street. Staff members are available to assist with pricing seven days a week. However, for more personal service, setting up an appointment is recommended. There is also a large in-stock hardware display available for quick turnaround needs. A new order management and processing system has recently been implemented, improving Park Hardware and Zeskind’s services and streamlining communication for builders, designers, and homeowners.
Zeskind’s Door & Window Showroom is located inside Park Hardware. What’s new in the Door & Window section?
Zeskind’s now offers Select Door, a high-end, fully customizable option for interior and exterior doors. Select doors come in a variety of styles and all solid wood species. They offer customized glass and inlays, resulting in a “Functional Work of Art” that accentuates an admired new build home. Other familiar major brands are still featured and available through all three Zeskind’s locations.

A niche market for Zeskind’s is working with builders on very large projects such as multi-family, apartment, or assisted living facilities requiring bulk supplies. Working directly with builders and installers to order, assemble, and deliver large quantities of products with upgraded features, including doors, windows, cabinets (including vanity tops), and all hardware to the project site, makes Zeskind’s a leading supplier on large and complex build projects.
