With over 40 years in business, Kitchen Encounters is a family-owned business with a team approach and Interactive Design Process used to develop and deliver award-winning kitchen designs. We learned the following through a conversation with owner and lead designer, Mark White.
Who are the “team members” on your design projects?
The internal team at Kitchen Encounters includes four Certified Kitchen and Bath Designers, an Operations Coordinator and Finance Manager. As a founding member of the Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD) and celebrating over four decades in business in 2021, Kitchen Encounters is well known and has worked with many local trade professionals and craftsman. They embrace collaborating with architects, interior designers, and builders, as well as working directly with homeowners using their Interactive Design Process. The company bases their design premise on client involvement and working collectively with all team members.
What makes Kitchen Encounters a unique showroom and kitchen design firm?
With a wide array of custom cabinetry and kitchen vignettes on display, including a Galley Workstation sink, entering their show room and working with the Kitchen Encounters design team is a design experience. Mark White developed a successful Interactive Design Process that begins with in-depth conversations, site visits and measurements, and proceeds through several design discovery and development phases, detailed documentation and installation instructions, scheduling of a “white glove” delivery service, and the assignment of a dedicated Operations Coordinator available for installation issues or service questions pertaining to the lifetime customer service benefits.
