2019 Member Business Lunch Review

March 20, 2019 ADD News

Over 70 ADD Members gathered at the Chart House restaurant on February 13 to enjoy the view of Spa Creek and Historic Annapolis over lunch while networking and greeting the incoming 2019-2020 ADD Board Members.  Lisa Tullai, incoming President, gave a brief overview of the direction of the ADD, including summarizing the changes in the Membership levels and describing the Business Member Add-On Benefits.  She encouraged all Members to look to peers in the organization (see the Member Directory) to collaborate with on projects, to refer to potential clients, and to help with their business management needs.  Lisa also invited Members to host or co-host an event.

The Design District’s marketing efforts were outlined to include upcoming print ads in Annapolis Home Magazine, Home & Design, and Chesapeake Views that continue to feature Member projects while also informing the Annapolis community about the Design District and leading potential clients to the on-line Member Directory.  These print ads are supported by social media posts and links.

Attendees gave a round of applause to Jessie White, who has served on the Board for many years in a variety of roles, including President from 2017-2018.  Thank you, Jessie, for your dedication to the Design District.  Good luck on your new endeavors!  (Photo:  Shown is Jessie White [left] with her parents, Mark and Cindi White.)  We thank those who attended the luncheon and filled out the Member Survey.  The information obtained will help us plan future events and communicate more effectively with our Members.  If you did not attend the luncheon and would like an opportunity to provide feedback, please email for a copy of the survey form.

Please note! As the Design District continues to grow; becomes more established as a strong organization of professionals; and evolves to better meet our Member’s needs and those of the Annapolis community, we need active volunteers to help maintain the ADD.  Open positions include Marketing and Communication Chairs.  If you have a background in writing and communication, an education or strong interest in marketing, or simply want to be more involved, please consider volunteering.

If you are interested in hosting an Event, please contact .  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact .
